Instagram starts letting users request for verified accounts

If you are an Instagram user, you have to admit that at some point you must have craved to become so famous that you can have that elusive verified account blue star.




Earlier Instagram badges were limited to accounts of public figures, brands and celebrities only. However Instagram users in Australia were the first to spot that the feature now available under the settings menu and more specifically just below the "Switch to business profile" option. This discovery was first reported by finance.nine.com.au.

Instagram has verified rolling out this feature in a select few Countries and it will be interesting to see how they handle they verification process of it's 1 billion plus users.
